Terms of use

By downloading, installing, or using OmniDM (the "app") or the OmniDM website (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the Service. If you use OmniDM on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it.

OmniDM is a general-purpose, content-agnostic utility. It provides multithreaded transfer engines for HTTP streams and files, support for Torrent and Magnet links over public peer-to-peer (P2P) networks, an integrated web browser for independent navigation, and aggregation of publicly available RSS feeds.

OmniDM does not host, index, store, recommend, or provide access to any specific media library or catalog of content, and it does not direct users to sources of infringing material. Like a web browser or a file manager, it is a neutral tool: what you choose to access or download with it, and from where, is entirely your decision and your responsibility.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use OmniDM for lawful purposes in accordance with these terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service except where permitted by applicable law.

You are solely responsible for the content you access, transfer, download, seed, or share using OmniDM. You represent that, for any media you handle with the Service, you hold the necessary legal right, licence, explicit consent, or website authorization to do so.

You agree not to use OmniDM to:

• download, upload, share, or distribute material that infringes any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property or proprietary right;
• access or distribute unlawful content, or content you are not authorized to access;
• violate the terms of service of any third-party website or platform you reach through the integrated browser;
• circumvent technical protection measures where doing so is prohibited by applicable law;
• transmit malware, or interfere with, overload, or disrupt any network, server, or the Service itself;
• use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law.

Laws on downloading, copying, and P2P sharing vary significantly by country. You are responsible for understanding and complying with the laws that apply to you.

The Torrent/Magnet engine connects you to public P2P networks. By design, this exposes your IP address to other peers you connect with. We do not control those networks or the peers on them, and we are not responsible for the conduct of third parties or for how your network activity may be observed by others. Consider this before enabling P2P features.

We respect intellectual-property rights and expect our users to do the same. Because OmniDM does not host or index third-party content, infringing files are not stored by us. If, however, you believe that content on a web property we operate (for example, an aggregated RSS item, or material in our store listing) infringes your rights, please contact us at info@omnidm.app.

Please include in your notice:

• identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
• the specific URL or location of the material in question;
• your contact details;
• a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized, and that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rightsholder or authorized to act on their behalf.

We review valid notices and act on content within our control. We reserve the right to remove content and to restrict access for users who repeatedly misuse the Service.

The integrated browser lets you visit third-party websites that are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We have no control over, and accept no liability for, the content, data collection, or practices of external sites.

RSS and news content aggregated in the app remains the property of its original publishers; all trademarks, copyrights, and intellectual property stay with their respective owners. OmniDM is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any streaming service, platform, or brand referenced by content you access.

To keep OmniDM free, we integrate third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdMob), which may use standard Android Advertising IDs to serve ads. We also collect anonymized crash logs and OS-level performance metrics to fix bugs and optimize performance. These activities are described in our Privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

The Service is provided strictly on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any network or data charges, data loss, device storage issues, damages, or legal repercussions arising from your use or misuse of the Service or of the networking tools it provides. Your use of the Service, and of any content you access with it, is at your own risk.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developers of OmniDM from any claims, damages, or costs arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these terms or of any third-party right or law.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by notice within the app or on the website. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
